Welcome
Welcome to the Curtis Tufts!
The Curtis Tufts High School is our in district therapeutic public day school and provides clinical services to students in the Medford Public Schools and surrounding communities for over 35 years. The Curtis Tufts accommodates students with a variety of learning differences who are on an Individualized Education Plan (IEP) and have struggled in a traditional classroom setting.
Student success is our priority. The academic instruction addresses individual learning needs of students with moderate-severe social, neurological, health or mental health disorders through differentiated learning. Students learn in an intimate setting with class size limited to eight students, and a maximum school total of 40 students. Individual/group counseling and pragmatic instruction are integrated components to meet students’ educational and social/emotional needs. There is also a facilitated transition to MHS/MVTHS as well as CTE programs as students demonstrate progress towards goals. The Curtis-Tufts is fully staffed with highly qualified professionals including teachers, adjustment counselors and a building administrator.
I am excited and looking forward to the upcoming school year in my role as the Principal at the Curtis Tufts and to building collaborative relationships with you and your student.
Respectfully,
Dr. Laurie Hodgdon
Principal
